Phoenix Cyclops is inspired by the Phoenix Five version of Cyclops from Avengers vs. X-Men. The official announcement confirms the character and voice actor but does not publish a release date or complete move list. It would therefore be premature to write a launch combo guide or exact frame analysis.

Roster-count boundary

The 20-character launch roster does not include Phoenix Cyclops. Once released, Year 1 fighters expand the playable total, but they should remain labeled as DLC rather than being retroactively counted as launch characters.

Howard the Duck and Cosmo are also not Year 1 fighters; the edition page identifies them as a lobby avatar and lobby pet. Use the full roster page for the 20 launch names and the edition comparison for pass ownership.
