What to know before you play
Crimson Desert Enhanced is a free update and new storefront name for Crimson Desert, not a sequel or separate paid upgrade. Pearl Abyss released version 2.00.00 on August 25, 2026. Existing owners on supported platforms receive the Enhanced content by updating their copy.

What actually changed
Version 2.00.00 adds and revises story moments across the main quest, expands boss context, introduces eight new Kliff skills, changes how skills are learned and reset, and adds a completed-story carry-over option for currencies and Abyss Links. It also adds five voice languages and Arabic interface and subtitles.
Those are material changes, but the product identity is continuous. The Steam app, ownership entitlement, campaign, and base-game requirement did not split into an “original” and a separate Enhanced purchase. A returning owner should update first, then review the skill refund and carry-over rules before changing an existing build.

Steam sells a $69.99 base edition and a Deluxe Edition that bundles the game with the Deluxe Pack; temporary discounts are not permanent prices. The page also lists Denuvo Anti-tamper and a five-PC-per-day activation limit. Crimson Desert Enhanced remains single-player, so crossplay and co-op guides would answer a feature the product does not currently advertise.
