GAME INTRODUCTION
What to know before you play

Palworld is a fully released game, not an Early Access title. Version 1.0 launched in July 2026 on Steam, PS5, Xbox, and Mac, while version 1.0.3 is the newest official patch found in the August 26 check.
Pick the answer you need
- 1.0 release date, platforms, price, and Game Pass status.
- Crossplay, four-player co-op, and 32-player server limits.
- Dedicated versus community servers and how players join.
- Official server requirements and a safe setup sequence.
- Minimum and recommended PC requirements.
- What changed in Palworld 1.0.
- Version 1.0.3 balance changes and bug-fix boundary.
Current 1.0 boundaries
The Steam build lists single-player, online co-op, cross-platform multiplayer, Workshop support, and Steam Cloud. A normal friend-hosted co-op session supports up to four people. The separate dedicated-server software can be configured for up to 32 players and does not require the host to keep the game client open.
The current server guide exposes CrossplayPlatforms with Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Mac as the default allowed set. That replaces obsolete documentation that separated those communities. Console players find community servers in the in-game list; direct IP-and-port joining is the dedicated-server path where the platform supports it.
Version 1.0 is also a large content and balance reset. It adds 72 Pals, Sunreach, the World Tree, a reworked story, new missions, broader base and multiplayer changes, and a higher progression ceiling. Old maps, breeding combinations, build rankings, and mod instructions can be wrong even if their URLs still rank in search.
