- PC, PS5, Xbox crossplay, subscriptions, and Xbox Play Anywhere
- Scenario, Survival, Solo, player count, and all nine mode maps
- Infection, permadeath, Rescue Beacon, and Responder progression
- PC requirements, 35 GB storage, controller, anti-cheat, and Steam Deck
What 1.0 contains
Scenario Mode sends Responders through six objective maps across the northeastern United States. Survival Mode uses three dedicated locations—Flooded, Night of the Living Dead, and Lighthouse—and focuses on surviving waves before extraction. Solo Mode allows independent practice on the maps and progress toward Weekly Assignments; it does not turn the design into a separate narrative campaign.
Every online mission still revolves around fragile characters and limited resources. Infection creates a countdown to treatment, while death can erase that Responder's individual progress. Successful extractions improve starting gear and unlock perks. A high-end Rescue Beacon can protect a Responder from one death, but it is an earned loadout item rather than a blanket removal of permadeath.
Current buying record
| Edition | US price | Included content |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $29.99 | Base game |
| Deluxe | $44.99 | Base game plus four cosmetic Survivor Packs |
PS Plus is required for online multiplayer on PS5. Xbox requires an eligible Game Pass multiplayer subscription for console online play, while the Xbox product also supports Play Anywhere across Xbox and Windows PC. The four Deluxe packs are cosmetic; they do not replace the base game's progression systems.
The live game has current bugs and hotfixes, so platform and support pages carry a date. Universal map routes, weapon tiers, cure locations, or extraction plans would need current-build reproduction and are not inferred from the store description.
