GAME INTRODUCTION

What 4v4 means here

Each player selects four characters, but this is not an eight-human team mode. One player controls each side. At the start of a match, only the first two team members are available. A successful stage transition or wall bounce near an area edge, or losing a round, can bring the third and fourth characters into play.

The game supports local Versus, CPU fights, Training, Episode story content, Ranked and Casual matches, private Room Matches, and a larger online lobby. The lobby can hold up to 64 users, but the actual fight still has two opposing players.

Current purchase boundary

The US PlayStation prices checked August 25 were $59.99 Standard, $84.99 Digital Deluxe, and $99.99 Ultimate. Deluxe adds the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass, Howard the Duck lobby avatar, and Cosmo lobby pet. Ultimate adds five costumes and animated chromatic colors. These cosmetics do not turn Howard or Cosmo into playable roster members.
