A guide should show its receipts.
Player Guidebook is an independent reference for new and rising games. We separate developer facts, independent databases, player testing, and editorial inference instead of blending them into one confident paragraph.
Source hierarchy
- Developer and storefront material: use this for official systems, releases, platforms, DLC, and patch changes.
- Independent databases: use these for large tables such as recipes, upgrades, achievements, or economy values; we label them as unofficial.
- Named player testing: use this for recommendations, with the task, build, save state, or account condition attached.
- Editorial inference: keep it short and say when it is an inference. We do not present it as a developer statement.
What we will not publish
- Invented recipes, odds, skill effects, or “best” builds.
- Unlabeled AI filler written to hit a keyword.
- Copied screenshots or gameplay footage presented as our own.
- A ranking without the test conditions needed to reproduce it.
Images and video
Images and official trailers are linked or embedded only when they come from a cited source. A tutorial video belongs on a guide when it shows the exact UI or run being discussed; we will not manufacture gameplay footage to make a page look complete.
What “updated” means
A checked date means the page was reviewed against its listed sources. It does not mean the game’s balance is frozen. If your in-game tooltip disagrees with a third-party table, the tooltip wins and the page needs a correction.
