The 64-user lobby is not a 64-player fight. A match remains one player against one player, with each person controlling a four-character team.
Episode is the campaign answer
The official FAQ describes Episode Mode as a new original story set in the Marvel Universe, created with Marvel writing and visual talent. Beta materials exposed three chapters for one team, but that beta count should not be presented as the full shipping game's universal chapter total. This page therefore confirms the mode without inventing campaign length.
For account and subscription requirements, use the crossplay and offline page. For every launch fighter, use the roster page.
