Elden Ring Tarnished Edition released August 28, 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2 for a listed US price of $79.99. It includes the original game, Shadow of the Erdtree, the Heavy Knight and Idus Knight starting classes, four armor sets, and three Torrent appearance options.

Switch 2 edition versus Tarnished Pack
The Switch 2 product is the full Tarnished Edition: base game, expansion, and the additional cosmetic and starting-class content. Existing PlayStation, Xbox, and digital PC players do not need to buy the Switch 2 edition to get the additions. Bandai Namco sells them separately as the Tarnished Pack.
The pack is not another story expansion. Its confirmed contents include two starting classes, four armor sets, new weapons, three Torrent attires, and two NPC invasion events. Steam US listed the standalone pack at $4.99. Patch 1.17 explains where the Torrent attires are found and how existing characters can obtain class equipment.
What remains unverified
Nintendo confirms online play within the Switch 2 population, but neither checked source promises crossplay with PlayStation, Xbox, or PC. The sources also do not provide a frame-rate, resolution, battery-life, or loading-time target. Those questions require the shipping build and its launch update.
