What to know before you play
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 released August 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Its two principal games are Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and the HD Collection version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Metal Gear: Ghost Babel is included as digital bonus content.

What you are buying
This is not a three-game package of equal status. Konami presents MGS4 and Peace Walker HD as the main titles. Ghost Babel, the MGS4 Database, screenplay books, master books, and Digital Soundtrack Vol. 2 sit in the bonus-material layer. Vol. 1 is not included, although compatible Vol. 1 save data can trigger separate rewards.
Steam listed the collection at $49.99 in the United States at launch. Konami also sells MGS4 and Peace Walker as separate digital purchases; Steam US listed MGS4 at $29.99 on August 28. Players who want only one title should compare the live individual and collection prices.
What still needs measured launch evidence
Konami confirms Peace Walker online play for up to six players and explicitly says crossplay is not supported. Official product records do not by themselves prove latency, matchmaking quality, frame rate, download completeness, control comfort, mod safety, or platform-to-platform visual differences. Those require measured, reproducible release-build evidence.
