Start by completing activities that count toward the Collection Journal: road discovery, Mascots, Street Races, Touge Battles, Car Meets, and Time Attack Circuits. Enough progress awards a Discover Japan Stamp. Playground says more Stamps unlock additional Barn Find rumors, so an absent rumor may be a progression issue rather than a missing map icon.

For a Treasure Car, compare the clue's visible road shape, terrain, skyline, and nearby structures with the map. Do not assume a Barn Find map from a different Horizon game applies. For Aftermarket Cars, revisit the system as the campaign advances; the official guide says its vehicles match current progression and can include rare Forza Edition cars.
