The full release is a major world, story, Pal, progression, base, multiplayer, combat, and economy overhaul rather than a label change.
Palworld 1.0 is a large systems overhaul. It adds 72 Pals, bringing the official total to 287, introduces Sunreach and the World Tree, rewrites the story flow, adds missions and NPCs, and raises the player level cap from 65 to 80.
Changes that invalidate old advice
- Pal habitats and spawn levels were rebalanced across the world.
- Main missions and story progression were reorganized; some mission progress was reset.
- Work Suitability expanded to ten levels and values were rebalanced.
- Capture requirements, capture probability, experience, gold, recipes, equipment, and technology progression changed.
- Breeding combinations were reviewed.
- Boss placement and high-difficulty content were adjusted for the higher level cap.
- Base building, multiplayer stability, server lists, world settings, and map controls received broad changes.
- The story now connects exploration, tower bosses, Sunreach, and the World Tree more directly.
The new content includes Awakening and Mutation systems, new active skills, story-driven sub-missions, journals, NPCs, expanded expeditions, new fishing areas, and a revised combat balance intended to make party Pals more competitive.
Because placements, combinations, recipes, requirements, and progression changed together, an Early Access map or “best” route should not be assumed valid in 1.0. Check that a guide names the current version and shows evidence from the full-release world.
