Both PC tiers require Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, broadband, and 34 GB; Steam recommends an SSD and requires it at the higher tier.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 lists Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, broadband internet, and 34 GB of storage for both official PC tiers. Steam recommends an SSD at minimum and lists it as required for the recommended configuration.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 64-bit | Windows 11 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-9600K | Intel Core i5-10500 |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Network | Broadband internet | Broadband internet |
| Storage | 34 GB | 34 GB |
| Drive note | SSD recommended | SSD required |
The recommended GTX 970 appears older than the minimum GTX 1650, but those are the models in Steam's current official listing. This page does not silently reorder or replace them. Steam also gives no resolution or frame-rate target, so “recommended” cannot be translated into a guaranteed 60 fps result.
Windows 10, Steam Deck, ultrawide output, and offline behavior are not confirmed by this requirements block. Check launch reports before buying specifically for one of those conditions.
