FIRST CHECK

A platform and account reference explaining what carries across devices, how to upgrade a skipped account link, and why unlinking needs support.

Palia supports crossplay and linked progress across PC, Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The connection point is a fully linked Palia account: friends and progress belong to that identity, allowing another supported device to resume the same character.

Platform combinations

CombinationSupported through a linked Palia account
PC or Steam ↔ PlayStation 5Yes
PC or Steam ↔ Xbox Series X|SYes
PC or Steam ↔ Nintendo SwitchYes
PlayStation 5 ↔ Xbox Series X|SYes
PlayStation 5 ↔ Nintendo SwitchYes
Xbox Series X|S ↔ Nintendo SwitchYes

This covers joining friends and carrying progress. It does not mean each platform store shares wallet balances, subscriptions, or purchase policy outside Palia's account system.

Set up the same identity on every device

  1. Create and verify a Palia account on the official website if one does not exist.
  2. Launch Palia on the current platform and choose the option to link the existing Palia identity instead of creating an unrelated local state.
  3. Confirm the character and progress shown after linking before repeating the process on another device.
  4. Add friends through Palia's friend system and invite them even when their platform differs.

If account linking was skipped, open the game's Main Menu, choose Player Support, and scan the support QR code. The official instructions then direct the player to Update Required, where an email address and account username can be added to upgrade the local identity into a fully linked account.

The important unlinking boundary

Palia support says a linked Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Steam, or Xbox Series account cannot simply log out. Unlinking requires Player Support. If the wrong local account was created after skipping the link prompt, submit an Account Management ticket, choose the account-linking issue, include the Character Name, and explain which local identity was created accidentally.

Do not assume two independently progressed characters will merge. The official record explains linking and carrying one account's progress; it does not promise combining two save histories. Before approving an unlink, preserve the character names and account emails involved so support can identify the intended state.
