The old Xbox and PlayStation test is closed, so install the live free product; only the beta's named permanent rewards survived its wipe.
The Once Human console open beta ended August 4, 2026. PS5 and Xbox players should now download the live free-to-play release, not search for an open Xbox Insider or PlayStation test.
The final beta was a wipe test. Most character progression reset before launch. The official carry-over list was:
- all earned Starchrom;
- all cosmetics and outfits obtained;
- up to six collected Deviants.
Players who reached level 20 could also qualify for one outfit selection and one weapon-skin selection. RaidZone-only participants needed more than three hours of play for those rewards. The named choices included Abyssal Dragon, Noise Manifesto, or Wasteland Sheriff for the outfit, and Dragon Dance KAM, Reconstructed Matrix AWS.33, or Gem Symphony MG4 for the weapon skin.
Do not expect ordinary beta character level, quest state, map progress, inventory, or every captured Deviant to appear intact. Those categories were not in the permanent carry-over list.
The beta also had a narrower crossplay rule: PlayStation and Xbox could share the test, while PC and mobile could not. The full launch announcement now supports crossplay and cross-progression across current platforms. Use the current account page for the released game.
