Madden NFL 27 Ultimate Team is built around Skill Points, branching upgrades, Evos, and one Ultimate Captain that can stay relevant through the season. Skill Points belong to the player item that earned them; they are not a universal currency for every card.

Eligible cards can upgrade multiple tiers at once. Archetypes can make two copies of a starting item develop differently, so the upgrade screen matters more than the card's base OVR alone. Item objectives show progress during games and can feed upgrades to OVR, attributes, chemistry, X-Factors, and abilities.
An Evo is not a guaranteed identical boost for every player. EA describes multiple possible effects, and some Evos can be chained while others are self-contained. Read the current Evo's eligibility and result before committing resources.
The Ultimate Captain is a single core player intended to grow from launch through the season. You can power that Captain down and switch to another one, so the first choice is not described as permanent.
Gridiron Tokens come from eligible Twitch Drops when they are active. The EA account must be linked to Twitch, the reward claimed from Twitch Inventory, and the token redeemed through sets in MUT. EA also allows ten Gridiron Tokens to convert into one Gridiron Super Token. Rewards and sets change with live content, so this page does not present a permanent reward table.
