The Gym's progression is cosmetic. EA explicitly says it does not affect gameplay balance or fighter stats, so collecting a fighter or training a Gym roster does not secretly create a stronger competitive rating.

Career Mode contains more than the opening story. EA says it includes expanded decision systems, social and narrative events, training camps, title paths, hype, fitness, and other long-term consequences. The Legacy can lead into Career, but it is its own narrative experience rather than the entire career mode.

For a practical first-session sequence, use the beginner controls and first-mode guide. For playing with another console, use crossplay modes and friend invites.
