Turok Origins moves the series into third person and combines shooting, melee, abilities, exploration, and solo or online co-op play.
Turok: Origins is a third-person shooter, not a return to the fixed first-person perspective associated with several earlier Turok games. Saber says third person makes the DNA powers and the warrior's changing suit easier to see, while supporting the studio's experience with action shooters played alone or with friends.

Why Saber changed the perspective
Game director Jesus Iglesias says the team found scenarios that worked better in third person, particularly DNA powers whose visual effects change the warrior. The decision is presented as a new direction that keeps familiar franchise ingredients rather than a claim that the earlier first-person design was a mistake.
The current official media can show the intended camera and action language. It cannot establish final camera options, field of view, motion blur, aim assist, difficulty modes, performance, or accessibility settings.
Platforming and exploration
Xbox Wire identifies platforming and more explorable maps as important parts of the classic franchise's contribution. The new game is described as sending players across strange planets and varied Lost Lands environments. That supports an exploration component, but Saber has not called Turok: Origins open world or published a final map structure.
“Multiple planets” can describe separate missions, connected regions, hubs, or another structure. Until Saber defines that structure, a complete map or level-order page would be speculation.
This is not a review
The Steam trailer and official screenshots demonstrate disclosed systems and art direction. Player Guidebook has not played a finished build, so this page makes no claim about controls, fun, pacing, enemy intelligence, performance, solo balance, or whether co-op is better. Those are review questions, not announcement facts.
For the systems that are already defined, use the DNA powers and weapons page.

QUICK ANSWERS
Questions players ask next
Is Turok Origins first person or third person?
It is a third-person shooter. Saber chose that perspective partly so players can see DNA powers and suit changes clearly.
Can Turok Origins be played solo?
Yes. The campaign supports single-player as well as online co-op.
Is Turok Origins open world?
An open-world structure has not been announced. Official material confirms missions across multiple planets and varied locations, not one seamless map.
