WHAT CHANGED

Crossplay is announced but not live in August; it will migrate players and clans, reset leaderboards, and expand clans while the next DLC heads to Central Park.

The Division 2 crossplay is scheduled for November 2026 across supported platforms; it is not yet live in the checked August build. Ubisoft says crossplay will be enabled by default, can be disabled from Character Selection, and will allow players and clans to operate across platform boundaries. No exact November day was published at the August 28 check.

What changes when crossplay launches

  • All players migrate to the crossplay environment.
  • Crossplay starts enabled by default.
  • Players can disable it from Character Selection.
  • Enabled players can match with other enabled players across supported platforms.
  • Disabled players remain with players on their own platform.
  • Existing clans migrate and can accept members from different platforms.
  • Clan capacity increases from 50 to 100.
  • Leaderboards reset and display crossplay settings.

Ubisoft says the online architecture required partial rebuilding. The stated goal is broader matchmaking and shorter queues, not an immediate promise about cross-progression, entitlement transfer, or merged purchases. Those separate account questions remain unconfirmed unless Ubisoft publishes them before launch.

Red Horizon is live before crossplay

Red Horizon launched August 27, while crossplay arrives later in November. Current groups therefore need to follow the platform behavior available in the live client rather than treating the announcement as already enabled. The Red Horizon access page covers what is playable now.

Echoes of Central Park

Ubisoft also revealed the next expansion title, Echoes of Central Park. Its premise begins with a distress call from the park, after it served as a mass burial ground during the outbreak. The publisher describes a darker atmosphere and an investigation connected to the Upper West Side.

The dedicated showcase is scheduled for September 24 at 9 AM PT / noon ET / 6 PM CEST. Ubisoft has not yet published the expansion's release date, price, edition structure, map size, mission count, or PC requirements. A title and showcase time justify a current reference, not a fabricated walkthrough.
