FAST ANSWER

The ranking is a snapshot, not a law. See the test conditions, the job each class performs, and which class to use when your account is not at endgame.

Ranger leads the cited endgame comparison, with Priest next, but this is a dated test under named conditions, not a universal order for every new account.

TBH Tier List: a dated comparison with its conditions attached

Tier lists fail when they hide the account behind the letters. This one follows PC Gamer’s July 2026 comparison after all four difficulty modes and level-101 endgame play. It is useful as a late-game hypothesis, not an official balance table.

Endgame snapshot

TierClassWhat the cited comparison rewardedNew-player translation
SRangerFast focused damage; solo Torment farming in some stagesGreat carry, fragile without a frontline
APriestSustain, tanking and party damage supportHigh account value once a second slot is open
BHunter, SorcererUseful damage, but less dominant in that runAdd when gear or waves call for them
CSlayerFrontline and party utility, below the tested free coreA role pick, not an automatic upgrade
DKnightDurable but slower in that endgame runOften the safest first tank

The “D” next to Knight is a late-game clear-speed result. It is not a statement that the class fails the early game.

Why the rankings disagree

Pro Game Guides, Mobalytics, and PC Gamer are not measuring the same thing. One may rank leveling value, another endgame speed, and another a full formation with specific gear. A list that does not say stage, difficulty, level, gear, party size, and author conditions is not reproducible.

A five-minute class comparison

  1. Use the same completed stage and difficulty.
  2. Keep Rune Tree, gear grade and skill points constant.
  3. Try one class in the job it is supposed to perform.
  4. Compare five runs by clear time, deaths, boss completion, and Gold/chests.
  5. Keep the class only if it solves the stated problem.

Do not spread your best gear across six heroes while comparing them. Move one item at a time and keep every other equipment slot unchanged.

QUICK ANSWERS

Questions players ask next

What is the best TBH class right now?

Ranger is the S-tier class in PC Gamer's July 2026 endgame test, with Priest next. That result is for a maxed account and does not mean Ranger is safer than Knight for a new player.

Is Knight bad in TBH?

No. Knight is a durability tool. A lower-ranked class that completes a stage can produce more progress than a higher-ranked carry that dies before the boss.
