No—Helldivers 2 does not have cross-progression or cross-save. PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S players can join the same squad through crossplay, but changing platform does not move your diver level, unlocks, purchases, Warbonds, medals, Super Credits, armor, or other account items.
The short answer before you switch platform
- Want to play with friends on another platform? Keep your current copy. Crossplay already lets PC, PS5, and Xbox players squad together.
- Want to continue the same diver on another platform? You cannot. The second platform starts a separate progression record.
- Want one purchase on two stores? Cross-buy is not supported; each platform needs its own game entitlement.
- Want support to merge two accounts? Arrowhead says accounts and items cannot be transferred or merged.
Linking a Steam account to PlayStation does not turn the two platform saves into one profile. Account linking and crossplay are connection features; neither is a progression-transfer tool.

Crossplay means the platforms can join one squad. It does not mean one diver profile follows the player. Buying another platform copy starts a separate progression record, and DLC, Warbonds, commemorative rewards, preorder armor, and other account-bound items remain with the original platform account.
Arrowhead also says linking Steam and PlayStation accounts does not copy PS5 data into Steam or the reverse. Support cannot merge two accounts or grant old items to a new account after a move.
