AT A GLANCE

Square Enix confirms Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine as newly playable party members, joining Cloud's assembled companions in the final remake chapter.

Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine are playable in Final Fantasy VII Revelation. Square Enix calls both of them newly playable party members and says each character brings a distinct combat role and abilities.

Why this confirmation matters

Cid and Vincent were present in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's story but were not full player-controlled combatants in that game. Revelation's product text changes that status directly. This is stronger evidence than a trailer appearance because the publisher explicitly labels them playable.

Official screenshots also show Cid attacking with a spear and Vincent using his transformed arm. Those images establish their presence in combat; they do not reveal complete weapon lists, transformations, resource systems, stats, or optimal roles.

What “fully assembled party” does not answer

The phrase describes Cloud's companions coming together for the final chapter. It does not state how many can be active at one time, whether every member is available in every region, how party switching works outside combat, or whether story events temporarily restrict the roster.

The current combat description confirms seamless switching between party members, commands in Tactical Mode, abilities, and synergies. A complete character guide needs the final menus, unlock conditions, move descriptions, and repeatable damage tests. Until then, labeling Cid a universal tank or Vincent the best ranged character would be invented strategy.

Voice actors and character credits

The current US product descriptions do not provide a complete Revelation voice-cast sheet. Returning actors may be expected, but an expectation is not a current credit. This page will add voice actors only from Square Enix's cast announcement, the release credits, or another first-party source tied specifically to Revelation.
