Far Far West is in Early Access, with the developer targeting roughly a 12-month period rather than promising a fixed 1.0 date. The Steam statement also says the price is planned to increase as content and features expand toward the full version.

At the August 28 US snapshot, the list price was $19.99 and a temporary Frostburn promotion reduced it to $15.99. A sale price is not the permanent baseline, and the eventual 1.0 amount is not yet published.

The current build already contains the core mission loop, solo and online co-op, character customization, weapons, side missions, and multiple progression systems. Frostburn demonstrates the intended development pattern by adding currencies, melee, Frost spells, maps, AI changes, balance work, and more than 100 fixes.

An approximate roadmap is not a contract. “About 12 months” can move as testing, content, and technical work evolve. The store does not provide a guaranteed full-release day, complete final feature list, or a universal promise that every save will remain unchanged through all Early Access updates.

Players who care about saves should read each patch note before updating and retain any platform-supported backup where practical. Do not present a possible wipe as certain, but do not promise seamless migration without an explicit developer statement. Build guides should name version 0.2.0.4 because major balance and currency systems have already changed.
