Jun fights, moves through guarded ruins, explores fallen civilizations, recovers Celestial technology, develops gear and morality, and leads companions.
EXODUS is a third-person action RPG rather than a turn-based or multiplayer game. Official material shows Jun fighting across hostile worlds, exploring fallen Celestial sites, navigating unstable ruins, using stealth in guarded spaces, developing gear and alignments, and making decisions with companion and homeworld consequences.
The disclosed loop
- Leave Lidon as a Traveler on an interstellar Exodus.
- Explore distant worlds and ruins of fallen Celestial civilizations.
- Fight or avoid hostile forces while companions provide specialized roles.
- Recover Celestial technology and weapons that may help save the homeworld.
- Develop Jun's gear, appearance, and Paladin or Immortal alignment.
- Make decisions whose effects can reach companions, Lidon, and later generations.
- Return after time dilation has moved the homeworld years or decades forward.
The extended reveal names combat, exploration, morality, companions, and choices. Separate official clips show Khonsu combat, Ghost City, the Guarding Maze, Persepolis, and stealth in a Celestial chamber.
Combat and companion roles
The Gamescom trailer gives two concrete companion examples. Salt supports Jun with long-range sniping, evasive movement, and disorienting smokescreens. Emrys weakens enemies with Remnant Orbs and converts drained power into protection for Jun.
That evidence supports role descriptions, not a tier list. Final weapon classes, skill trees, cooldowns, companion commands, enemy resistances, difficulty modes, healing, and optimal rotations have not been published as complete systems.
Progression boundary
Archetype says Jun rises from salvager to Traveler while hunting ancient technology and weapons. Gear and morality alignment are visible parts of that growth. The available pages do not yet establish level caps, XP formulas, crafting, loot rarity, respec rules, or a complete skill tree.
The game is still unreleased. A legitimate beginner guide will need the final interface, landmarks, exact inputs, failure recovery, and a visible completion state; trailer analysis cannot provide those.
