WHAT CHANGED

The summer update adds a standalone international tournament from group stage to final and extends the theme across Career and Ultimate Team.

The EA Sports FC 26 World's Game update is free for existing owners and adds a standalone 48-team international tournament that runs from group stage through knockout rounds to the final. Kick Off adds one-off matchups from 60 nations.

Where the update appears

  • Standalone mode: the complete 48-team tournament structure.
  • Kick Off: individual international matchups with a wider 60-nation choice.
  • Manager Career: the International Men's Tournament plus national-team setup and themed challenges.
  • Player Career: international ICONs, Heroes, and season objectives.
  • Ultimate Team: Festival of Football, Journey of Nations, campaigns, rewards, and event tokens.

The official Pitch Notes described 53 fully licensed and playable national teams when the mode rollout was announced. That licensing count and the 48 tournament slots answer different questions: more teams can be playable than fit into one tournament bracket.

The limited June–July login reward window has ended. It should not be presented as a permanent entitlement for a player starting in August.
