Deckalypse resources survive a failed run; use the published base systems to verify what an upgrade changes before committing it.

A failed Deckalypse run still feeds the next one. The official materials say resources from defeated enemies return to camp, where Base Operations raises party attributes and the Forge reshapes cards. That is the verified persistent loop; it is not evidence of a universal upgrade order.

1. Record why the last run ended.
2. Read the exact current upgrade effect and cost at Base Operations or the Forge.
3. Buy only the improvement that changes that failure, then compare the next death recap.

Read the upgrade before buying it

At Base Operations, record the visible resource cost and the exact effect. The published functions include energy cap, card draw, health, damage, and card forging. Pick the upgrade that addresses the failure you actually saw—an energy shortage, weak survival, or a deck that needs reshaping—rather than spending by category name alone.

The Vehicle is a second published permanent system. The developer describes rebuilding it part by part for damage, survivability, and healing improvements. Gambit's Trade is another route: it turns kills into relics that interact with debuffs. These descriptions establish the roles of the systems, but they do not establish exact costs, unlock order, or the best relic for every party.

Keep a useful run recap

After a loss, write down the immediate cause, the most useful card, current persistent resource total, and the upgrade that would change that specific problem. Deckalypse also advertises death recaps; the live build is now available, so compare its recap with your note and record the version. That is more useful than importing a build from an earlier preview.
