SEGA explicitly says the retail minimum and recommended specifications may differ. The current retail Steam page lists Windows 11 and a 64-bit processor/OS, but still leaves its CPU, GPU, sound-card, and additional hardware fields unannounced.
That apparent Windows 10 versus Windows 11 difference is not a contradiction: one table describes the September test build; the other is an incomplete retail record. Do not use the test's 12 GB size as a final installation-size claim.

Successful applicants receive an email in early September and can find the code or key on the Firstlook application site. The test requires an internet connection and supports online play only. An unstable connection can return a player to the title screen; SEGA recommends restarting network equipment, trying wired connectivity, and checking the system clock.
No save transfer and no story mode
SEGA says test save data cannot transfer to the full game. The build contains a portion of multiplayer with two modes, two maps, six cars, four characters, and selected tuning options. Single-player and the World Tour campaign are unavailable in the test.
The network test is for stability and feedback, not an early retail playthrough. Bugs and performance issues in this development build are not a final review result.
