Pickup Race

Players compete to drop off as many passengers as possible within a time limit and earn the most money. Steam is the official source for the “up to six players” limit. SEGA's shorter test description says to reach passenger destinations first; neither source publishes every scoring or tie-break rule.

Cops 'N' Cabbies

This mode divides the lobby into Taxis and Cops. The public description establishes team competition but does not disclose how many players sit on each side, whether roles rotate, or the exact win conditions.

Ranked versus Custom

Ranked Match pairs players at a similar skill level and tracks competitive progress. Custom Match supports custom lobbies and rules. SEGA has not disclosed a complete setting list, party-size matrix, invite flow, rank tiers, or whether every retail mode will offer both match types.

What crossplay does and does not prove

Steam's retail record uses the broad “Cross-Platform Multiplayer” label, and the test Q&A allows crossplay to be disabled. The test platforms are Xbox Series X|S / Xbox on PC, PS5, and Steam. Switch 2 is a retail platform but not in this test.

This confirms a connected multiplayer design. It does not yet publish a final retail crossplay matrix, account-link rule, cross-save system, or platform-by-platform online-subscription requirement.
