AT A GLANCE

Standard is $59.99 for the base game, Deluxe is $79.99 with the Season Pass and Black Ball, and Ultimate is $89.99 with those items plus the Ultimate Pack.

For a US buyer, Standard costs $59.99, Deluxe costs $79.99, and Ultimate costs $89.99 on PlayStation 5. Standard is the complete base game. Deluxe adds the Season Pass and Black Ball customization. Ultimate includes the Deluxe content and adds the separate Ultimate Pack.

What the Ultimate Pack contains

Nintendo's official add-on page itemizes the pack instead of describing it as an undefined cosmetic bundle:

  • Five uniforms.
  • Three alternate ball customizations.
  • Two goal celebrations.
  • Two main-menu themes, including one Yoichi Takahashi illustration and one original game illustration.
  • Early unlock cards for Neo Drive Shot and Neo Tiger Shot.

“Early unlock” is the important phrase. The page does not say those moves are permanently exclusive to Ultimate owners. Do not pay the extra $10 solely because a reseller calls them exclusive.

Who should choose each edition

Choose Standard if you want the story routes, current roster, local or online matches, and complete base systems without committing to future characters. Nothing in the official list makes the main campaign a Deluxe-only feature.

Choose Deluxe if the three future character packs are already part of your buying decision. The $20 difference matches the US Season Pass value shown by the edition ladder, but the final characters are not identified in the checked records.

Choose Ultimate if the listed customization items and early move cards are worth another $10 to you. It does not add a fourth story route, extra player slots, crossplay, or a different game version.

Avoid duplicate purchases

The Ultimate Pack, save-data pack, jersey set, and Season Pass exist as separate add-ons on platform stores. Read the “included in” list before buying. Ultimate already contains the Ultimate Pack and Season Pass; Deluxe already contains the Season Pass. Previous-game owners may also qualify for a save-data bonus described in the bonus and DLC status page.
